OPERATIONS intern

JOB BRIEF
The internship position is a part-time (please see below in regards to the time commitment) unpaid learning opportunity, allowing the intern to sculpt their management skills while gaining a lot of experience in a dynamic setting. The C.R.E.A.T.E. Operations Intern will work directly with the executive officers on different projects that range from financial, operational and strategic and will be exposed to all operational aspects of the organization.
responsibilities
Assist in the coordination and execution of events and meetings related to events
Assist in applying to grants as well as grant writing
Assist in promoting & showcasing company events through different social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat etc.)
Provide administrative support to executive leadership and coordinate special projects as assigned
Assist with soliciting and securing partnerships and sponsorships by meeting with potential partners and sponsors as needed
Assist in creating executive documents and presentations
Assist in research and analysis related to special projects and business concepts
Assist with project management
Assist with miscellaneous projects and provide miscellaneous support as needed
qualifications
Be responsible, flexible, hard‐working, ethical, and committed to the mission of C.R.E.A.T.E.
Possess a high level of organizational skills and be detail oriented
Possess a variety of computer skills ( Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat are mandatory; Google Applications, such as Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc., are a plus)
Possess an interest in a nonprofit career ‐ particularly development and fundraising
Self-motivated, team player with the ability to meet deadlines, remain flexible, and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Have regular and consistent computer and internet access, including the ability to work online
Must be a resident in the Hampton Roads area with reliable transportation and be willing to provide on the ground support to execute assignments
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Able to work independently with minimal oversight
time commitment
Must be willing to work at least 20 hours per week (hours may increase depending on assignment) for at least one year.
